Porchfests are popular community-run musical events where local residents host live musical performances on their front porches and lawns. Bands, singers, and instrumentalists share their music, offering a wide range of genres and connecting neighbors throughout the community.
When a volunteer group in Wakefield, Massachusetts planned the town's first Porchfest in 2024, I illustrated a poster to hype it up. Inspired by Wakefield's crown jewel, Lake Quannapowitt, the poster features the beloved giant rubber duck that advertises community boating at the lake every summer. Town residents welcomed the event's return in 2025, and the duck returned as the mascot for the second poster design.
